“As an ambassador for this university, I’m sad for all parties, not just my guys, that the incident happened. They’ve had a three-game suspension. I’m saddened that the whole situation went down. Hopefully my guys learn from it," Patterson said, according to the (Fort Worth) Star-Telegram .

Patterson told reporters he wasn’t sure if either player would play against Texas on Saturday.

TCU announced the suspensions of Tuaua and Petties-Wilson on Sept. 21, the day they were arrested and more than two weeks after the Sept. 4 incident.

According to a police affidavit , three people beat a TCU student near an off-campus house and stole a 30-pack of Keystone Light beer.

Tuaua was fourth on the team with five sacks last season and turned in three tackles and half a sack in TCU’s opener against Minnesota this year. Petties-Wilson has not played this season.
