A cellular steeple has been a windfall for First United Methodist Church in Ipswich, Mass. Its steeple is home to four service providers, whose rent has paid for the church’s $450,000 renovation project. But it’s a blessing that Pastor Joel Wayne of Greenwich Baptist Church in Connecticut had to turn down this spring due to community objections. “Anything that would prohibit us from showing people the love of God isn’t worth it to us,” he says. “But,” he adds, “I still have no service between my house and the church. It’s horrible.”
