Selanne played his last regular-season game against the Colorado Avalanche. The night was full of assorted tribute-type stuff, and nothing was better than when he did a victory lap after the game. He brought a friend; Avs goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere, who also may have been playing his last regular-season game.
The two were teammates for years in Anaheim and won a Stanley Cup together.
